Who Pays for the Call

Four steps, and one of them is us telling you not to spend the money.

Know the fuel and the symptom before dialing, because between them they decide which trade turns up at the door. The call costs the household nothing. HeaterRelay is paid by the contractor at the other end of it, which is the whole of the arrangement.

HeaterRelay is a referral service, not a contractor. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands. Every state page sets out who licenses plumbers there and where to check, so you can confirm before work begins. We carry out no work, we sell no equipment, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call.

Gas or electric, in ten seconds, from the top of the tank. Everything after this depends on it.

Match the symptom

None, not enough, rumbling or leaking. Each points somewhere different, and knowing which you have makes the call short.

The number on this site connects you to an independent contractor covering your area. We pass on what you tell us. We do not quote, schedule or supervise the work and are not a party to the agreement you reach.

Or do not call

If the tank is past 15 years and leaking from its shell, a repair visit is money spent on a diagnosis you already have. Saying so costs us the call and keeps the contractor's time for jobs that are real.
